Mission : Impossible - Ghost Protocol

Genre : Action | Adventure | Thriller
Runtime : 133 Min
Director : Brad Bird

Plot : The IMF mission goes bad and it’s implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin. Hence IMF is shut down officially. Ethan Hunt and his new team gear up to clear their name.

Review : Ok, the first one was very good, I hate the second installment but I liked the third one. But let me clear that am not a fan of Mission Impossible neither Tom Cruise. Did not have many expectations from it as some impossible things are always scripted in the movie way beyond reality and I just hate the mask thing put on again and again and repeating annoyingly. This one has a different start and you would wonder why? Watch for explanations as I don’t wanna write spoilers. Tom Cruise is looking stunning. The story progresses and you will notice that the mission they are on this time is pretty dangerous. Ethan Hunt is now with a new team of his own for the same.

The first half, thumbs up to Simon Pegg who is the highlight of all the comic punches which are hilarious. Some pretty good action sequences which will surely give you an adrenaline rush. Well I guess they are meant to as that is the ISP of the movie. And seriously I was pretty much enjoying the first half and never felt bored at all. Instead was laughing all the way which is really different for MI series. A good change by Brad Bird. The second half was good as well but is a little slow. The movie runs for almost 133 minutes but all the minutes were interesting and the element of boredom was missing. The action sequences are unrealistic logically but are shot so well, thanks to the cinematography.Cast wise all have performed well, but Pegg was really awesome. The role of Anil Kapoor sucked big time though. Overall direction – thumbs up. I really missed the original MI theme which was there but not much.

The movie is fun and thrilling to watch and it was really good to see Tom Cruise back in action. One more thing I forgot to mention is that there is less of the mask for this one which I just loved. And the tagline : No Plan. No Backup. No Choice. fits quite well which you will find out soon.

Final Verdict : Seriously guys, a must to watch in theatres. Don’t miss it. This one is the best after the first. Loved it.

Rating : 8 on 10
